The Friends Of the River Community Center
has come a long way since last year. The
building renovation and grounds upgrade have
really made this diamond in the rough the
jewel of the river. Thanks to all the hard
work of F.O.R. Volunteers and a big hand to
the Community Center Committee, the F.O.R.
Community Center is perfect for family
gatherings and special occasions, business
meetings, dinners, weddings and showers. The
beautiful grounds at the Community Center is
unequal to anything else in the area, for
those outdoor occasions where atmosphere is
a must. With the addition of the five newly
completed picnic tables, outdoor seating has
expanded to 60 to 80 people, comfortably. If
you are looking for a great place to utilize
the most the river has to offer, check out
the Friends Of the River Community Center,
The rental rates are reasonable, and with
each rental you get the satisfaction of
knowing you are contributing to the
betterment of the community. All proceeds
from the Community Center go back to the
community, through the Friends Of the River
organization, to bring a better life
to those who live, play and enjoy the San
Bernard River. Check it out for that next
special occasion, you'll be glad you did.
The F.O.R. Community Center is a full time
work in progress. There are many new things
being planned as well as continuing
maintenance. In order to provide the very
best Community Center possible, volunteers
are always needed to help with various
ongoing projects. If you have a little
free time and would like to help with some
of these projects, then come join in on the
fun and fellowship that goes along with the
satisfaction of accomplishing a good thing
