Brian, Cindy, Sophie, Aedan, Troy and Two the Super
Dog – Family of the Month
Howdy,
we are honored to be selected by the F.O.R. group as
the family of the month
and
look forward to continuing our growing relationship
with our neighbors on the river. We have been
enjoying the river since1990 and it has treated us
very well.
Cindy and I
were first introduced to each other on the river
banks, became engaged on our dock and welcomed all
of our children home on the river.
In
2005 we sold our first home and moved into our new
home on the river. Completion
of
the
dock on our
new
home
has us looking
forward to teaching our children how to fish, swim
and ski in the coming months
and years.

Breakfast in March
Our current
involvement with F.O.R. includes Brian
participating on the environmental committee
(Cindy facilitating by watching the kids) and
attending as many functions as we can squeeze
in. Our hopes are that our organization
continues to grow with a shared mutual purpose
to secure this beautiful lifestyle for both us
river folk and the birds and fish that we share
it with.
Now one of our favorite river stories involves
the mannequin on the
dock
of our first house.
It all started with some friends and family
deciding I needed a steady girlfriend (before
Cindy graced my life) and mounted
“Molly”
(the mannequin)
in a bikini by the hoist. After a couple of
years the bathing suit started to be a little
thin and some of our neighbors on the river
dropped off a new
bikini
in a bag with the note “this is a family river
and she needs a new suit”. The bag with
new
bikinis
continued
annually
for several years until one day we went out to
dock and all we had left of Molly was a steel
rod and a chunk of butt cheek. We’ll take this
opportunity to say thank you to our mysterious
bikini
benefactor.
Also if anyone knows of Molly’s whereabouts we
would love to hear how she is doing in her new
home

One of F.O.R.'s
primary functions is to educate the public
regarding the issues concerning the San Bernard
River and it's Communities. Contact Pat Webb
