JOIN THE ANNUAL SAN BERNARD RIVER JULY FOURTH BOAT PARADE!

It’s a hot time on the San Bernard River, so let’s all show our appreciation for all the troops who are fighting for our continued freedom with F.O.R.’s 3rd annual San Bernard River July 4th Boat Parade.

On Saturday, July 5th, the parade begins at 5:00 p.m. At the Churchill Bridge (F.M. 2611 boat ramp) and travel on down river to 2J’s Café and Marina where the parade participants can enjoy an awards dinner.  The traditional 4th of July fare – hot dogs with all the trimmings -- will be served.  All boat entries and crews are invited to attend the dinner where the winners will be announced and door prizes will be given away.

Entered boats will be judged in six categories: Best Spirit, Best Sound, Most Patriotic, Most Unusual, Best Theme, Overall. Plaques will be awarded in each category.

If you are interested in entering your boat you’re invited to attend a Captain’s meeting at 2J’s Café and Marina on Thursday, July 3rd, at 7:00 p.m. However, if you simply want to sit back and enjoy the parade with your friends and family, bring your lawn chairs to one of the following viewing areas: High Five Bar & Grill, Las Playas boat ramp, 2J’s Café and Marina, or Churchill boat ramp (F.M. 2611).

Come salute our country and thank our soldiers and join the fun!   Parade information and entry forms are available on the Parade tab at the top of this page. For more information, contact Vanessa or Nelson Taylor at 964-4402.
