This past weekend, F.O.R. San
Bernard played host to the
Galveston Bay Sail and Power
Squadron's Boat Inspection Team.
The Inspectors who made the long
trip to provide this service were
Frank Boerner, Trish Loetz and Bill
Carr.
It started off well with several
boats in the parking lot, one
powered up all the way from River's
End and several more came by water
before the end of the day. In all,
there were 12 or 14 boats receiving
their decals upon passing the safety
inspection. A lot of information
about the organizations were shared
and a Seamanship Course for boaters
in our area was discussed.
The course would be held in Alvin,
Texas beginning in September,
consisting of four Saturday morning
sessions. If enough interest is
shown, they will make it happen for
us.
If you are interested in this
free course (books are highly
recommended and run $35 each),
please send your name, email and
contact number as soon as possible
to Pat Webb at pat@sanbernardriver.com.
A list will be compiled and a class
put together.
Thank you very much Frank,
Trish, Bill and F.O.R. Volunteers-
and to all who participated in
this important and worthwhile
project.

Looks like Mark Manley
expects to be frisked
for boating
violations ???
