The Idea
¨
We have
important issues facing our river. We want an active and
open organization devoted to issues that affect our river.
¨
To be an active,
effective, long-term organization, and to work effectively
together, we need to know the talents on the river, and we
need to know and trust each other.
¨
The Board of
Directors can bring us together in social and
fund-raising efforts, and in a web discussion forum where we
can come to know our neighbors, discuss our various goals
for the river, and recognize the leaders, experience, and
talents we have among us.
¨
We have a new
website, ready today, for the river: http://www.SanBernardRiver.com
¨
We have
established contacts to promote, support and to back river
functions.
¨
We openly invite
all interested people to join in and support its activities.

Build a database
of people living on the river, using the river, and
interested in the river.
¨
Keep an active
website as a resource for river information, updates, and
discussions.
¨
Build a firm
social & financial foundation for the organization through
social and fundraising events.
How Do We
Accomplish These Goals

We will host and
support the river cleanup
¨
We will host and
support the boat parades, led by Vanessa and Nelson
Taylor.
¨
We will host and
support the opening of the mouth, led by Jan and Roy
Edwards.
¨
We will keep the
new website active and current, and encourage your frequent
feedback in the discussion forum.
¨
We are gathering
ideas for social events that are both productive and fun,
such as a dinner auction type social to raise funds for the
river, a mid-year boat parade to promote togetherness, a day
at the beach to help promote the problems at the mouth of
the river...just to name a few. We solicit your help in
bringing new ideas to the table.

Through the help
and support of everyone, we can make this happen. We can
become a strong, unified force and make a difference for the
betterment of our river and its community. |
