River meeting set
A meeting is slated for Friday, January 25 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at the
Brazoria Civic Center, 202 Smith St., to discuss plans for reopening the mouth
of the San Bernard River.
A short presentation will be followed by a question and answer period on the
project, which was recently announced by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Among those in attendance at the meeting will be Tom Lizardo, a representative
of Congressman Ron Paul, who has been instrumental in working to get the project
underway, and senior staff members from the Corps of Engineers Galveston office.
The public is invited to attend.
