Friends of the
River sets town hall event

BRAZORIA —
Friends of the River San Bernard
will have its third annual “State of
the River” town hall meeting at 6
p.m. Saturday at Dido’s Restaurant,
2922 CR 519 on the San Bernard
River, to celebrate the
accomplishments made, the state of
the river and introduce the current
board of directors, committees and
their chairs.
In addition to a preview of the
committees’ 2008 goals, Friends of
the River will present the 3rd
annual Ralph Primeau Memorial Award
to a person who has gone above and
beyond in the past year for the
betterment for the San Bernard River
and its communities. Friends of the
River also has created a video
chronicling a bit of the river’s
history from the point of view of
those who have lived and seen its
changing times.
Those wishing to eat and socialize
prior to the meeting should be at
Dido’s no later than 5 p.m. to enjoy
a specially priced dinner for $10 a
person.
