FOR San Bernard Mouth Opening Update Meeting with Tom Lizardo and Corps of Engineers, Galveston District

Friends Of the River San Bernard (FOR San Bernard), is pleased to announce that Tom Lizardo, Chief of Staff for Congressman Ron Paul, and senior staff of the Corps of Engineers, Galveston District have graciously consented to update the public and answer river mouth re-opening questions for citizens who live along - or just love - the San Bernard River on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the Brazoria Civic Center (old school) located at 202 Smith Street (at Highway 36) in downtown Brazoria, Texas at 7 p.m..

Current activities and processes and what events people can expect in the upcoming months to re-open the mouth of the river will be addressed by Tom Lizardo and Corps of Engineers personnel (tentatively) Colonel David Weston (Commander), Mr. Art Janecka (Chief of Programs and Project Management), Mr. Johnny Rozsypal (Chief of Operations), and Mr. Ben Boren (Project Manager).

After a short presentation by the speakers, there will be time for a question and answer session from the audience. When the public arrives, they will be given a 3 x 5 card and a pen. Any question that individuals want answered can be written on those cards which will be collected during the evening and presented to the speakers for answers.  People who have questions they want answered can also send them to mouth@sanbernardriver.com  before January 24 and they will be directed to the speakers before the meeting. The meeting will end at 9:00 p.m.

FOR San Bernard encourages everyone who has an interest in, or questions or comments about the re-opening of the San Bernard River to attend  this meeting.
