C.I.A.P Funding
On November 6, 2007, the Coastal Land Advisory Board will hold a public meeting to discuss and consider a draft Texas Coastal Impact Assistance Plan (C.I.A.P). The meeting will be held in Austin at 2:00 p.m. in Room 1-100 of the William B. Travis Building, 1701 N. Congress Ave. Grant applicants are not required to be present. During the meeting, the Board will consider staff-proposed projects selected for funding. A list of these proposed projects should be posted later this week at http://www.glo.state.tx.us/coastal/ciap/ciap2005.html.
IF the San Bernard River project makes the short list here,
before funds can be released, this list of projects must go to the governor's
office and must be approved there. Then, these approved projects will need to go
to the Mineral Management Service (MMS) in Washington D.C. for final approval.
Then, and only then, can any funding can be released for any project.
