C.E.P.R.A. funding was announced at the ASPBA/GLO Conference. The major projects funded were Galveston Island (with a project of 3 miles of beach restoration utilizing 1 million cubic yards of sand), Surfside Beach, and Sylvan Beach. Thursday, October 25, 2007, the GLO confirmed that $50,000.00 for the San Bernard River Sand Source Investigation as submitted by the Brazoria Co. Beach Restoration Task Force had also been funded through this cycle of C.E.P.R.A. Funding.
